This restaurant from the folks at Concentrics (think Tap and ONE Midtown Kitchen), Max’s Coal Oven Pizzeria makes authentic New York-style pizzas in Atlanta’s only coal-burning oven. Next to Stats downtown, Max’s is housed in a historic brick building and decorated with black and white photos of—where else?—New York City. Born and raised in NYC, Executive Chef Nick Oltarsh uses his mother’s secret family recipes to create fresh pies with crispy thin crusts, like the Bianca and the Margharita. Max’s is within walking distance of the Georgia Aquarium, CNN Center, Georgia Dome, Philips Arena and Georgia World Congress Center.
