Scheduled to open sometime in mid-September, Crave promises to serve cool cocktails and sophisticated plates at its Ponce de Leon location. Crave is a lounge-y Southern-inspired restaurant with small plates and a promise of big flavors.

For lunch, think pork belly sandwiches topped with cucumbers, cilantro, pickled radishes and harissa (a hot chile sauce) mayonnaise; and a B.L.T. with Pike Street bacon, butter lettuce, heirloom tomatoes, pepper Jack cheese and a fried egg on pain de Champagne. For dinner, the chefs step it up a notch with peekytoe crab tian (a layered dish) with salt and vinegar potatoes and celery cream; seared sea scallops with beluga lentils, eggplant and olive oil; and lamb loin with pistachio-scented polenta, broccolini and apricots.

Crave is located at 239 Ponce de Leon Ave. For more information, visit www.crave-atl.com.

Casual eats: Bringing down home cooking and a casual place to enjoy it to Inman Park, Zhaddy's Cafe opened last month without much fanfare. But the soft open is representative of the kind of place Zhaddy's is-simple and honest, with a focus on taste.

Zhaddy's serves breakfasts like pork chop, eggs and rum-battered sweet potato waffles with brown sugar (yes that's one meal). Then there are omelets, salads and burgers, as well as the chicken Polish dog and the Maryland-style crab cake sandwich. As you can see, the menu's quite diverse.

Zhaddy's is located at 240 N. Highland Ave. in Inman Park. For more information, call 404-588-9980 or visit www.zhaddyscafe.com.

Sushi and burgers: What flies in New York City usually becomes a trend in the ATL (cupcakes, gastropubs), but not always-remember Craft and Il Mulino? Fresh from the Big Apple, 5 Napkin Burger is set to make its debut in the Peach State this week with a concept so unexpected, it may have Atlantans looking twice.

5 Napkin Burger offers burgers (Italian turkey, ahi tuna, lamb kofta and bacon cheddar, to name a few), but it also serves sushi (the menu includes shrimp tempura rolls and California rainbow rolls), salads (peanut chicken, blackened shrimp) and entrees (grilled fish tacos, mac 'n' cheese). There's even chicken, noodle and matzo ball soup on the menu!

5 Napkin Burger is located at 990 Piedmont Ave. in Midtown. It opened on Aug. 15, 2011. For more information, call 404-685-0777 or visit www.5napkinburger.com.

A new tequila to try: Casa Dragones, a 100 percent Blue Agave Joven sipping tequila, is now being served at select Atlanta restaurants. Hand-crafted in Tequila, Mexico, it comes in limited-edition crystal bottles numbered to identify the tasting notes of the batch.Overall, the tequila has a subtle floral and citrus aroma with fresh notes of sweet agave and hints of vanilla, spice and pear.

Casa Dragones is being served at Bacchanalia, Restaurant Eugene and Holeman & Finch, among other Atlanta staples. For more information, visit www.casadragones.com.
